DETENTION WAIVERS

City of Houston Storm Water Quality Program


Managed the implementation of the City of Houston's storm water quality program, including  development of workable storm water quality criteria documents within the City of Houston and unincorporated Harris County.


Harris County Best Management Practices Study, Harris, TX

Studied the effectiveness of structural Best Management Practices for the control of storm water pollution in Harris County. Performed water quality monitoring and modeling for the two selected ponds.




FLOODPLAIN PERMITTING

Exxon Baytown Olefin Plant


Prepared a drainage study, and construction plans to allow for the relocation of a Harris County Flood Control designated facility, and provision of detention for a plant expansion within the Baytown facility.


Pearland Town Center Onsite Improvements, Pearland, TX


Provided civil engineering for a 150-acre lifestyle center.  Designed a 13- acre amenity, detention and storm water quality facility including design of a two phase outfall center with outfalls into two watersheds.  The project is located in the City of Pearland, in Brazoria Drainage District 4.

Thompson Ten Development Baytown, TX

Prepared construction plans, assisted with permitting, provided construction phase management, and provided engineering services for development of detention, water, sewer, drainage and paving facilities to serve a 35 ac (Phase 1) industrial subdivision in Baytown Texas. 


Kolbe Farms (Sections 1-4) Houston, TX


Prepared construction plans, assisted with permitting, provided construction phase support, and provided engineering services for development of detention, water, sewer, drainage and paving facilities to serve a 40 ac single family residential subdivision in Houston Texas.

STORMWATER QUALITY

City of Pearland Max Road Detention Facility and Sports Complex


Provided engineer design services for the design and construction of the Max Road regional detention facility.  Phase 1 consists of six regulation soccer fields within the detention facility.  The outfall system consists of a combination of pumped and gravity flow drainage systems.  Hydrologic and hydraulic models for Hickory Slough were revised to demonstrate that the proposed facility would allow development in the Hickory Slough watershed without additional detention.



1230 West 16th, High Density Single Residential Development


Provided engineering services including conveyance analysis and culvert calculations for a 2.5 acre (28 lot) redevelopment tract in Houston TX.  There were 19 culverts proposed in this project.


Letter of Map Revision 2120 & 2108 White Oak; Houston, TX

Provided engineering services for a Letter of Map Amendments for 2120 and 2180 White Oak in Houston, Texas.  Coordinate with application with FEMA.

Kingwood Place West Detention Waiver

Houston, TX


Prepared a detention waiver study consisting of both hydrology and storm sewer design calculations resulting in the City of Houston granting a detention storage waiver for a 1200 acre partially developed project in Kingwood, TX.
